Whatcom Road Widening
The Project
In 2008 MAREX was contracted by the City of Abbotsford for the widening of Whatcom Rd between Marshall Rd & Regal Pkwy. Work included widening the existing two-lane to accommodate a four-lane arterial road with significant Sierrascape, Allan Block & Lock Block retaining walls. Upgrades to the existing drainage infrastructure and modifications to streetlighting with two new signalized intersections were completed.
