Riverside & 4th Ave
The Project
In 2007 MAREX was contracted by the City of Abbotsford for the widening of a 2-lane Riverside Rd & 4th Ave to a 4-lane arterial between Farmer Rd & W Railway Ave. Work involved the removal of an underlying peat stratum, installation of drainage facilities along with planted Bioswales, a trenchless crossing of CP Rail tracks, upgrading of the water infrastructure with corrosion protection, and electrical upgrades for a furnished roadway with street lighting.
